Project: IMPACT – Hinatuan Surigao del Sur

The World Wide Fund for Nature in the Philippines (WWF-Philippines) is currently implementing the project: Integrating Model of Circular Economy, Public Management and Environmental Efficiency of Mariculture (IMPACT) in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
As part of this initiative, the project will engage the services of a Policy Review Consultant to conduct the policy review and policy development recommendations for environmental conservation and sustainable use and management of coastal resources in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
1. Gather and review existing local policies, ordinances, resolutions, and other relevant documents related to coastal resource management (CRM), marine protected areas (MPAs), coastal law enforcement, among others.
2. Identify policy gaps on existing technology and local policies for environmental conservation and sustainable use and management of coastal resources.
3. Identify standards or benchmarks.
4. Develop policy recommendations to improve existing policies, incorporating the participation of women leaders in governance.
5. Conduct at least 4 stakeholders’ meetings to identify and validate policy gaps and recommendations to be integrated into the Coastal Resource Management (CRM) plan.
6. Participate in a planning meeting with the project staff.
7. Write a full report on the policy analysis and recommendations.

· Policy recommendations for environmental conservation and sustainable use and management of coastal resources
· Draft Municipal Council Resolution on Gender-Responsive environmental conservation and circular economy appropriate for Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur
All expenses incurred during field work will be covered by the Project or through reimbursements and with corresponding receipts (cash invoice/ sales invoice) as required. The estimated budget for the said work will vary depending on the schedule of the conduct of activities.
