The Digital Engagement Assistant shall assist WWF-Philippines’ Digital Engagement Manager in implementing strategic, creative and innovative engagement through its digital channels and platforms, which includes its official and approved social media accounts and its website. She/He/They shall provide support to the organization’s strategic objectives through the following, including but not limited to:
DIGITAL STRATEGY AND ENGAGEMENT
• Assists in the development of the organization's digital engagement strategy and oversees its implementation.
• Creates or identifies trends and opportunities for digital engagement and integrates them into programs, where appropriate, to increase the organization’s influence and impact.
• Works with the Visual Media Team to develop and implement concepts and produce content for digital communication platforms.
• Keeps abreast of knowledge and developments related to the organization's conservation initiatives, including changes in public perception and opinion, by working with WWF-Philippines Conservation Program teams.
• Supports implementation and coordination for ongoing campaigns, including contributing to the development of digital and educational communication materials (e.g., social media content, briefs, and visuals); assisting in content planning and scheduling; coordinating with internal teams and partners; and providing inputs to track engagement and improve the effectiveness of campaign outputs.
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
• Monitors the WWF-Philippines website’s performance and provides required reports to the Digital Engagement Manager.
• Monitors the organization's existing and official social media accounts regularly and provides required performance and analytics reports to the Digital Engagement Manager.
• Monitors the organization's digital ads spending.
MAINTENANCE OF DIGITAL SUPPORTER BASE
• Conducts community management across all the organization’s existing and official social media accounts, relaying concerns and inquiries to the appropriate WWF team/staff.
• Assists the Communications Unit in implementing digital events and initiatives for the organization.
• Assists in managing and content editing for the WWF-Philippines website using WordPress CMS, in close coordination and with professional help from the organization's website developer and manager.
• Assists the Communications Unit in crafting and implementing crisis communications plans and guidelines.
OTHERS
• Manages efficiently the resources of WWF, ensuring resources are used in a sustainable way and identifying ways for reducing the overall consumption of finite resources.
• Take responsibility for the safekeeping, proper use, and upkeep of WWF equipment in the office and in the field (i.e. computers, vehicles, etc.).
• Handles cash advances and liquidates the same within the required period per WWF Policy.
• Participates in official activities of WWF (e.g. Quarterly Meetings, Strategic Planning) when participation is required.
• Internalizes the values of WWF: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration and practices the work ethics of the institution.
• Evaluates own knowledge, skills and competence in the light of job requirements and personal aspirations, plan your development, develop our knowledge, skills and competence in line with your plans and evaluate your learning and development.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
• Experience in digital communications, digital campaigning, digital marketing, social media marketing, social media management, and/or community management.
• An interest in and commitment to environmental and conservation issues and an understanding of the connection between social issues, human rights and the environment.
• With proven and demonstrable ability to strategize for us to maximize engagement with existing digital supporter base and grow our followers through proper audience targeting.
• Excellent copywriting skills and has the ability to write flexibly for different audiences, with content ranging from science-based to creative and emotive.
• Knowledgeable with Google Analytics, SEO, and social media reporting.
• Proficiency in WordPress CMS and/or other website management and editing programs is a plus.
• Creative design / layout and graphic skills are an advantage.
