Overview

Reporting under the Individual Donors Program (IDP) Manager, the Digital Marketing Fundraising Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and performance management of WWF-Philippines’ digital fundraising initiatives, with the primary goal of acquiring new quality individual donors and driving growth in unrestricted income through digital channels. 

This role plays a key part in managing end-to-end digital campaign execution, platform optimization, and audience conversion. It demands a results-driven mindset and expertise in performance marketing, data analytics, and content collaboration. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Digital Fundraising Strategy and Planning 
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy, action plan, budget, and performance framework aligned with WWF-Philippines’ IDP and overall fundraising objectives. 
    • Lead the design and execution of digital donor acquisition initiatives that increase reach, drive conversions, and optimize cost-per-donor. 
    • Conduct A/B tests and digital experiments to validate campaign strategies, improve performance, and enhance digital engagement funnels. 
    • Use data, research, and analytics to support strategic decision-making and evaluate the end-to-end digital donor experience. 
    • Identify and explore new digital marketing platforms or innovations that can improve online fundraising outcomes and expand donor reach. 
  2. Digital Donor Acquisition and Engagement Campaigns 
    • Lead and oversee WWF-Philippines’ core digital giving channels, including: 
      • Make a Donation (online donation page) 
      • Adopt-a-Species campaigns 
      • E-commerce platform partnerships 
    • Plan, launch, and optimize both always-on and seasonal digital fundraising campaigns across multiple digital fundraising avenues, including: 
      • Paid media channels such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads
      • Owned platforms like WWF-Philippines’ online donation page and Adopt-a-Species webpage 
      • Partner-led platforms including third-party e-commerce sites and donation integrations 
    •  Expand online giving options and reach by identifying and establishing new digital fundraising partnerships and improving platform performance. 
    • Optimize lead generation and acquisition through compelling content, high-converting landing pages, and seamless user journeys. 
    • Work closely with the IDP Officer to ensure that multi-channel fundraising initiatives — including peer-to-peer fundraising, employee giving, digital campaigns, and donor events — are aligned with digital strategy and contribute to online acquisition and engagement goals. 
    • Collaborate with the Communications and Conservation teams to co-create story-driven content that drives awareness and donations through compelling calls to action. 
    • Coordinate with the Communications and Individual Fundraising Director and Communications Officers to plan and test creative marketing strategies focused on donor attraction and online giving. 
    • Ensure consistency in brand voice, compliance with data privacy laws, and alignment with donor acquisition and retention policies. 
    • Key Digital Tactics Include: 
      • Paid search and social advertising 
      • Multi-channel digital conversion funnels 
      • Strategic A/B testing of visuals, messages, and CTAs 
      • Landing page and form optimization 
      • Peer-to-peer and corporate-led digital fundraising 
      • Integrated seasonal and always-on digital campaigns 
  3. Digital Donor Retention and Relationship Building 
    • Collaborate with the Donor Management and Retention (DMR) Officer to design and implement digital engagement journeys for newly acquired donors. 
    • Develop personalized engagement touchpoints and automated communication flows to increase donor satisfaction, promote recurring giving, and boost donor lifetime value. 
    • Monitor digital donor engagement across touchpoints (e.g., email, SMS, social media) and ensure that messaging is aligned with each donor's lifecycle stage and behavior. 
    • Work closely with the Donor Management & Retention Officer to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of tokens for donors acquired through digital channels, reinforcing a positive donor experience and strengthening retention efforts. 
  4. Digital Performance Tracking and Reporting 
    • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and monthly reports, tracking ROI, CPA, CTR, conversion rates, and overall digital campaign performance. 
    • Use Google Analytics, platform dashboards, and ORACLE NetSuite CRM to monitor campaign effectiveness. 
    • Analyze user behavior to optimize digital journeys and improve conversion points. 
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital fundraising campaigns in contributing to WWF’s conservation impact and revenue goals. 
    • Share insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders, including the Head of Resource Generation and Partnerships, IDP Manager, Finance, and senior leadership. 
  5. Digital Platforms and Tools 
    • Manage and improve WWF-Philippines’ donation platforms, ensuring strong UX, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and secure payment processing. 
    • Lead enhancements and integrations for core fundraising platforms such as: 
      • Make a Donation platform 
      •  Adopt-a-Species webpage 
      • Third-party e-commerce or payment partnerships 
    • Collaborate with IT, Communications, and CRM teams to ensure robust integration and tracking systems. 
    • Explore and implement new digital tools, platforms, and donation experiences to increase supporter engagement and giving potential. 
    • Ensure all digital fundraising platforms and tools are compliant with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and WWF’s internal data protection protocols, including secure data storage, encrypted transactions, and ethical handling of donor information. 
  6. Internal Collaboration and Alignment 
    • Work closely with the IDP Officer and DMR Officer to align digital donor acquisition with retention efforts, ensuring smooth supporter journeys and consistent messaging. 
    • Work closely with the Communications, Corporate Partnerships, Conservation, and Finance teams to align on campaign rollouts, message framing, and budget planning.
    • Contribute digital fundraising insights to internal reports for the Management Committee, Board, and WWF International. 
    • Stay updated and aligned with WWF International digital fundraising standards, campaign assets, and shared tools.

  • Monthly Donor Acquisition Target (quantity, donation value, and cost per acquisition)
  • Digital Campaign ROI and net income 
  • Lead-to-Donor Conversion Rate 
  • Engagement and Retention Rates (email open rates, CTR, unsubscribe)
  • Campaign Response Time and Optimization Turnaround 
  • Platform Growth Metrics (traffic, landing page bounce rate, user flow)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in digital marketing or fundraising, ideally in a nonprofit or social impact environment. 
  • Expertise in paid media (Google Ads, Meta Ads), SEO/SEM, CRM, and email automation tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with platforms like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite Oracle NetSuite. 
  • Ability to write clear, compelling copy tailored for donor acquisition and engagement.
